What is GRI?

The GRI designation is a national designation delivered by the state REALTOR® associations. The 90-hour course of study meets the accreditation standards established by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded the GRI designation (Graduate REALTOR® Institute). Only members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® may hold the GRI designation.

In 2014, the GRI designation was updated to:

  • Enable Arizona REALTORS® the
flexibility to earn a nationally recognized designation that works with his/her schedule.
  • Enable Arizona REALTORS® the ability to earn multiple designations at one time.
  • Meet the needs of today’s Arizona REALTOR®.
  • Take less class time and require less time out of the office.

Continuing Education

Most GRI modules have been approved by the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) and offer license renewal continuing education credit.

The Instructors

Are some of the best in Arizona. Our instructors are continually evaluated by students, class monitors, and a workgroup, and must maintain a minimum rating of 4.5 out of a possible 5.0.

Testimonials

“I encourage all my new agents to get started in the GRI program. Once they have taken one class, I never have to bother them again because they have never had classes that pertain to the day to day activity as does the GRI.”

John Stacey, GRI, Broker, McCulloch Realty

“I’ve noticed that the GRI classes have totally impacted my conversations with clients in every area — listing presentations, buyer-broker agreements, how I write a contract, the verbiage I use, the structure of a contract, and the many new learned nuances of real estate law and abiding within the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. I interact differently with my broker (who is a GRI also and encouraged me to get my designation). I notice that I am also much more confident, knowledgeable, and able to quickly and easily share that new knowledge with my clients. Truly, receiving my GRI has given me the tools I needed to heighten my confidence in protecting and promoting the interests of my clients.”
